i thrive on deadlines
i procrastinate very well
i enjoy the adrenaline rush of racing the clock
but sometimes, in spite of my to do list, i'm forced to slow down
it's during those times i'm reminded of what is absolutely essential
i'm startled at how much fluff i have in my life,
at how prideful i can unknowingly be in my self-sufficiency
LORD, I know that people’s lives are not their own;
it is not for them to direct their steps.
~ Jeremiah 10:23
sometimes i have to be forcibly reminded of that.
