Saturday we had a baby shower for Bobby's niece. As I was making the mints, Bobby asked what else was on the menu. After I recited off the litany of items, he responded with "No peanut butter?! This shower is for Hannah! What's she going to eat?" (Hannah has had stomach problems over the years and has been unable to tolerate many foods, but peanut butter has been her staple.) Despite my assurances that she would enjoy the foods we were having, he was adamant that I needed to make peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for the shower. Even though I protested that NOBODY took that to a shower, he persisted, and informed me I could make them dainty with my little cutter. And so I did. To my surprise all but 3 were eaten. love the blog look...i always like your changes. i would have eaten a peanut and butter sandwich too.
Awwwwww- Bobby shows his love with peanut butter- what does he buy you for your B-day?!?
so did you use strawberry or grape?
PB&J is one of the great staples of mankind!
And anyone who's anybody KNOWS you only use strawberry! Sheez!
Po' Rich, while strawberry jelly/jam is fit for royalty; grape jelly is royal...it's purple!
I used grape, Carroll, but only because that's what I have the most of!
Sorry, Monica. Let me clear it up for you ;-)
OT covenant: purple = royalty.
That's fine (but I don't think you're quite that old).
But we are now covered under the NT covenant of our Lord and Savior Jesus. His blood has cleansed us of all sin => red = royalty => strawberry. The jelly of the King of King and Lord of Lords!
Hope that's clear now ;-)
Oh PULEEZ- grape is the ONLY way to go:)
Well, just to cover all my basis, if I ever have your family over for lunch Rich, I'll mix the strawberry & grape on your PB&J sandwich. :O)
Wow. Didn't mean to set off a fuss on the blog. I gotta go with Rich (and, as he so clearly illustrates - the Word)...strawberry's the only way to go. ; )
