mousy hair

I have a new hair dresser. Thanks Nancy!

And as always, I left the shop, and my hair had some volume. It looked cool. Then I rode in the car for 15 minutes, walk in the door...flat head. Never fails. I envy people with thick hair or curly hair. (And no, I don't consider envy the same as covetousness. I'm happy for them, and I enjoy seeing their beautiful hair, and when people like Dottie Dunn straighten their gorgeous curls, I accept that as their choice and bite my tongue every time I walk by...your hair does look good, Dottie, in case you're reading this!)

Both of my sisters and all my nieces have a full head of hair. I can blow-dry my hair very quickly. Theirs will take a minimum of 20 minutes. So I guess I'm thankful for my mousy hair. If I had a full head of hair in addition to being a non-morning person, I think there might be problems.

you don't have "mousy" hair! I wish mine looked like Dottie's too!

ooo...now I know something about Dottie...I straighten mine too:) It's not curly really- just weird. I have frizz around my forehead and ears, then it's straight until you get to the back, where it gets wavy and curly. Strange. I blow dry it straight every time I shower to give it a kind of uniformity:)
And Monica, I LOVE LOVE the color of your hair. It's straight and glossy and DARK. I've never wanted to be a blond and even dyed my hair dark at one point. Rich didn't like it:(

lydia, you have got to be JOKING! When I was little, old ladies always walked up in the store and would tell my Mom how beautiful my littler sister was. She had blonde hair like you and big blue eyes. It always made me mad! Naomi and I attended the same HS of 325 students for a whole year before most everyone found we were related we look so different! We thought it was funny.

I think your hair looks very nice, and it suits you! I agree with Lydia, you have a great color.

My hairdresser taught me how to blow dry my hair to give it volume, I could show you sometime if you wanted. I have to blow dry my hair from underneath at the roots to get any volume at all. I also have to use sticky products to keep it that way.

Wait...it's almost March?!?

10 more months 'til Christmas. This last month has been an absolute blur. Cleaning at Mrs. Bryan's house, cleaning at our house, lo...
