the flower on my snow pea plant! There are actually three different miniature snow peas on different plants and I think two more were trying to sprout today. And there's some type of plant poking its head up on another row, but it remains to be seen whether its a cantaloupe vine or a weed.

I can see that I am going to have to discuss my black thumb with you and see if you can help. I REALLY want to start growing a few more things. This year I planted tomatoes and they are doing great so far. My next thing is grapes. Rich thinks it will be too much work. I'd also like to do fresh herbs and cucmber or squash. Are these hard things to grow and maintain?

Grapes are easy until harvest time. You only have to prune them once a year (and I didn't do mine this year). Their harvest time is in the late summer/fall. If I had to do it over again, I'd go with a seedless variety.
I've never grown herbs, but the veggies are easy to grow but do take some work to maintain (mainly weeding). Some of my plants thrive, and others get the death sentence!
